Federation of Italian-American Societies of New Jersey

The Federation of Italian-American Societies of New Jersey was founded in 1933 to assist and improve the quality of life of the Italians who came to America from Europe to become a lasting part of American Society.

The Federation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of the Officers – President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Third Vice-President, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Secretary and Legal Advisor. There is also a nine member Board of Trustees and a Sergeant of Arms. Elections are held yearly in May with the new term of office beginning in June.

Monthly Dinner Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of each month. A Memorial Mass observance is held each year in May to remember and honor all the deceased members of the Federation and their families. Members also receive a Death Benefit based upon longevity of membership. Our Annual Harvest Dinner Dance is held each November to honor those individuals who have distinguished themselves in various professions promoting their Italian Heritage in a proud and positive manner.

Our social calendar includes guest speakers, bus rides, picnics as well as participating in educational seminars and forums. The Federation supports and is actively involved in the “Annual Festa Italiana” held at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel each year. We are also actively involved with the New Jersey Italian and Italian American Heritage Commission.

We are an active member of the National Italian-American Foundation based in Washington DC (NIAF).

To continue our work as an organized voice representing the Italian-American people, the Federation needs your support.
